OUR PARTNERS

We manage the entire appraisal process - allowing staff to remain focused on their overall member service and core business (originating, underwriting, and servicing loans). We have a deep understanding of regulatory concerns, and maintain compliance by creating a firewall between professionals and appraisers. Mortgage personnel are provided direct access to our appraisal review team, unlimited consulting on any compliance issue related to appraisals, and assistance with internal policy and procedure revisions.

OUR APPRAISERS

Appraisers are the most critical part of our business. We partner with the absolute best and most qualified appraisers available. We are committed to paying our appraisers quickly at rates that meet or exceed typical customary and reasonable. TrUnion appraisers meet all certification, licensing, insurance, and educational requirements; and their performance is tracked using a detailed ranking process. Building strong relationships, fostering two-way communication (between the appraisers and the review staff), and enabling proactive problem solving are priorities. We ease on-boarding transitions for new clients, and support your relationships by partnering with appraisers already doing work for you whenever it is possible. In addition, we have created specialized panels of appraisers qualified in specialized assignments such as high value homes, new construction; renovations, field/ desk reviews and residential income producing properties.

WHO ARE WE?

SALLY CAROTHERS SRA, FRICS, PRESIDENT

Sally Carothers joined Trunion in February 2018 as President/ CEO. Sally is responsible for the day to day operations, business development, compliance, quality control, valuation practices, procedures, and escalations. Sally oversees panel management, staff training and provides education for our appraisers.

 

Sally has over thirty years of experience in the Real Estate Appraisal. She graduated from Demontfort University, UK with a BS in Urban Land Management and continued her education her graduate education at the University of Arkansas. She is a Certified General Appraiser in both Ohio and Illinois, a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and has an SRA Designation from the Appraisal Institute. She is a founding board member, as well as the Executive Director, of the Ohio Coalition of Appraiser Professionals, a member of the Industry Advisory Council of the Appraisal Foundation, and a member of LDAC for the Appraisal Institute.

 

Sally was first licensed in 1992 and began her career in the United States as a staff appraiser with TRW. She was quickly promoted to Assistant Chief Appraiser. Sally left after 5 years of service to start her own appraisal firm. She trained numerous appraisers and taught Appraisal/ Real Estate pre-

 

 

licensing and continuing education classes at the Community College level.  In 2004, she moved to Stickelman and Associates/SVP as the Vice President of their commercial division. While there, she assisted with the launch of SVP, a commercial AMC serving regional Midwest clients. In 2010, she took the position of Operations Manager at TJ McCarthy & Associates, where she managed the operations for the regional appraisal firm, supervising over fifty residential and commercial appraisers. While working, Sally multi-tasked as an adjunct instructor for Hondros College and Columbus State Community College from 2000 to 2005.

 

Sally’s most recent work experience was at Nations Valuations Services, where she was the National Chief Appraiser and Vice President of Quality Control. Sally was responsible for the oversight of their national quality control program and valuation compliance. Prior to this, Sally worked as the Chief Appraiser for CUAS, assisting with the launch of the first dedicated Credit Union AMC.
